Preschool-8 Education in the Heart of Kansas City
For over 90 years, St. Peter's has been an anchor, a vibrant center of community life, and a home to hundreds of children, many of whom graduate and then later return to raise their own children here. All are welcome to become part of our legacy of superior education in a loving and accepting environment.
St. Peter's Parish was established in 1925 to respond to the needs of a rapidly growing Catholic community in the Brookside neighborhood. From the very beginning, providing a faith-based education for children was a high priority for the parish--the first permanent structure on our campus was the school, which opened in 1929. The original school building has been renovated and the campus expanded many times; the iconic 1920s charm remains on the outside, with a completely modern and state-of-the-art learning environment on the inside.
