Teacher Love Committee

The Teacher Love Committee (TLC) is dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the incredible work of our teachers and school staff throughout the year. From organizing appreciation events and surprise treats to coordinating thoughtful gifts and festive celebrations to stocking the teachers’ lounges and celebrating their birthdays, the TLC ensures our teachers feel valued and supported. We want our amazing teachers to know just how much they are appreciated for their hard work and commitment to our children’s success. Join us in spreading love and thanks to the heart of our school community – our amazing teachers! Get involved monthly by helping to stock our main teachers’ lounge and the ECLC teachers’ lounge.

BIG GIVE

PTA coordinates annually a BIG GIVE, a Christmas gift fund that goes directly to our wonderful teachers and staff. The BIG GIVE provides a simple and fair way for parents to show their appreciation for ALL our St. Peter’s staff and faculty – from classroom teachers to custodial staff and aides. Contributions to the fund are purely voluntary and are distributed among teachers, school staff and STP parish staff. A list of contributing families is provided with gifts. This school- and parish-wide gift was designed to replace the need for individual gifts and is an amazing way to say THANK YOU to ALL who support our children’s education.

Volunteering at St. Peter's

Picture

Parent volunteers play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging school environment. By giving your time and talents, you can help build a stronger sense of community, enhance student learning experiences, and support teachers and staff in countless ways. Whether assisting in classrooms, organizing events, or participating in school activities, our parent volunteers are a key part our PTA and school activities.

Before you volunteer, remember the Diocese requires you submit a background check and complete two trainings: Protecting God’s Children training and Mandated Reporter training. View more details and upcoming sessions of Protecting God's Children here.  You can contact Casey Clampitt in the school office to check your compliance status. [email protected]

PTA Events

Auction
St. Peter’s School Auction is PTA’s largest and most exciting event of the year! This fundraiser is a highlight of the school year, bringing together parents, teachers and community members for a fun-filled evening of bidding, entertainment, great food and camaraderie. With a variety of incredible auction items generously donated by our community, there’s something for everyone. All proceeds go directly to the school. This is a parent-only event that takes place on the first Saturday in March.

Homecoming
Our annual Homecoming event takes place in September and is a week-long celebration of our Patriot Pride! This is PTA’s second-largest fundraiser, with all funds going towards programs that directly benefit our children. Homecoming includes a Spirit Week, Pep Rally, Patriot Pride Color Run and Alumni Lunch and Tour.

Snowflake and Sonshine Dances
The beloved Snowflake Dance is a special evening for fathers and daughters, while the Sonshine Dance is a night of fun for mothers and sons. Both events take place at school and are filled with music, dancing and sweet treats. If your child’s mother or father is unable to attend, they are welcome to bring another special guest who holds a meaningful place in their lives — whether it's a grandfather, aunt, family friend, or other loved one.
Family Dining Out
Enjoy a night out and support STP at the same time with our Dining Out program! Throughout the year, we partner with local restaurants to host special dining events where a portion of the evening’s proceeds go directly to our school. It’s a fun and delicious way to contribute to our fundraising efforts while enjoying a meal with family and friends.

Book Fair
Every purchase at our annual Book Fair directly supports our school, helping to PTA initiatives. It’s more than just a book sale; it’s a celebration of reading and learning! Bring the whole family, find your next favorite read, and help us foster a love of reading in our community. The book fair takes place twice a year, once each semester.

Trivia Night
Put your knowledge to the test at STP’s annual Trivia Night! This is your chance to team up, show off your trivia skills and enjoy an evening of laughter, friendly competition and community spirit – all while supporting our wonderful school!

 Christmas Gift Wrapping
Let PTA wrap your Christmas gifts! For one weekend in December, parent volunteers donate their time and wrap gifts for a donation. All funds raised go towards the BIG GIVE, supporting our teachers and school staff.

 Cultural Diversity Bazaar
The mission of the Cultural Diversity Committee is to provide the St. Peter’s community the opportunity to share and celebrate its diversity. By partnering with the school we can assist the 5th grade in a project that deepens their understanding of the world while sharing it with the entire community.

 Grade-Level Parent Representatives
Grade-Level Parent Representatives are community building officers for their son or daughters class. They are the point of contact for the teacher to help support the classroom with parent involvement.

 Safety Patrol
Every morning from 7:40-7:55 over 400 students enter the building at St. Peter's. We have two drop off lanes. Safety Patrol are those wonderful volunteers that are opening car doors, helping when water bottles fall out the door and roll, and encouraging the middle schoolers to be helpful at those drop off locations.

Shrove Tuesday
Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of the Lent season. On this day the PTA brings in Chris Cakes and all students are treated to a pancake lunch with breakfast sausage and that lovely orange drink parents had when we were kids - Tang. It is one of the students favorite days. Volunteers are mainly Tang monitors, pancake slicers, and syrup pourers. Join us to see who can eat the most pancakes and end up in the nurse's office after recess.
