St. Peter's School is Committed to Inclusive Education
At St. Peter's, we value and celebrate the unique contribution every child makes to our community, and we are prepared to meet the academic and social needs of today’s students. It is our privilege to partner with the FIRE Foundation, a local charitable organization that helps fund the resources necessary to provide children with special needs the opportunity for an inclusive religious education. In addition to our caring faculty, we have a special education coordinator, para-educators, and counselors on staff to help us strive to meet your child’s individual needs.
FIRE Foundation began right here! FIRE was founded in 1996 by a group of families from St. Peter's and Visitation Parishes who dreamed of seeing their children with special needs attend their parish school along with siblings and friends. Now, FIRE partners with over a dozen schools in the Kansas City-St. Joseph Diocese, awarding grants to support inclusive education.
