The week of January 23-27, we will introduce our new RED Card Bullying Prevention Program, developed by Children's Mercy Hospital with the support of Sporting KC. Discussions will include the definition of bullying, types of bullying, who is involved in bullying (bully, victim, and witness), and what students can do. Each student will receive a RED Card that provides them with four actions they can take. Each family will also receive a RED Card that will provide you with information about what parents can do. We will have some fun daily themes to go along with our discussions: Monday: Respect Others Wacky Dress Day - we all have differences (Complete Out-of-Uniform Day) Tuesday: Exit the Situation Pajama Day - let's put bullying to bed. School-Wide Christ-Like Behavior Award (Complete Out-of-Uniform Day) Wednesday: Do the Right Thing & Call It Team Wear Day - to show we are going to work together to do what is right. (Wear a t-shirt or colors of your favorite team with uniform bottoms) Thursday: Ask Them to Stop Wear something orange - orange is the symbol of bullying prevention - wear something orange with your uniform) Friday: Report Bullying and Do Talk to an Adult RED DAY see how much red you can wear head to toe (Complete Out-of-Uniform Day)
